Job DescriptionSummaryThe Quality Control Manager ensures that the Quality Control Inspection Lab functions as required, fulfilling all required product inspections, as they are defined through the material flow and the production planning, and respecting all the applicable QMS procedures.

The Quality Control Manager ensures that all the material, product and inspection documentation conforms to all required quality standards, industry regulations and customer requirements and expectations.

The Quality Control Manager facilitates the coordination of the inspection functions with all operational departments, in order to achieve the required quality company objectives.

This individual is responsible for managing all the organization’s quality control functions and quality control staff, both in standard production and new product development.Job ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operation of the Quality Lab and the Quality Control group of inspectors and technicians, ensuring that required goals and throughput is achieved.Provide leadership developing and directing the Quality Control function, ensuring the written policies and procedures are followed and are effective.Monitor and maintain the existing QC database and operational systems and advise management team on system performance regarding achievement of required goals.Support the operation of all CMM equipment both in the QC Lab and on the Shop Floor, including CMM programming and CMM part inspection.Ensure that required and planned inspections are performed by the QC inspectors in a duly manner, as these include 1st-offs, in-process, FAI and final, 100% and sorting, receiving and shop floor patrolling.Ensure all inspections are documented with Colour Tags and recorded in the QC database, as well as reported on the travellers and Time Control systems.Attend daily production coordination meetings and MRB disposition meetings.Ensure instrument calibration is performed, recorded and maintained up-to-date.Manage, control and report on the quarantine cage status.Manage, control and report on interaction with customer and suppliers relating to RMAs (customers), NCRs (suppliers), SDRs (deviations), QAL (alerts) and the related CAPAs when necessary.Create and maintain related QC documentation, such as specifications and instructions.Establish the QC team with cross training actions to improve its flexibility.Actively participate in solving quality problems and continuous improvement activities with the operational departments such as Production, Engineering and Materials, in a timely manner.Communicate daily expectations, review previous day’s expectation misses, overdue inspections, variance and quality.Act as a change agent to improve awareness and understanding of quality principles and conformance to the Quality Management System throughout the organization.May perform other duties as assigned by management.Work ConditionsManual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.Overtime as required.RequirementsMinimum 5 years of direct work experience and management of QC operations, inspections, regulations, guidelines, specifications and associated quality.Good verbal and written communication skills for liaising and communicating with management, employees, vendors and customers.Able to create CMM programs using PCDMIS and Calypso.Working knowledge of applicable quality international standards such as ISO9001, AS9100, ISO13485 and other applicable quality standards in the industry.Extensive practical experience with inspection equipment, measurement reporting, drawing standards incl.

GD& T, CPK, GR&R, etc …Motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.Detail-oriented and analytical thinker.Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams.Ability to understand drawings, technical documentation, including inspection and test procedures.Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.Good level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, knowledge of Visual Basic an asset.A well-defined sense of diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal departments, and outside key business partners, such as customer quality representatives.Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.Company DescriptionFounded in 1974, Trimaster is a one source, one responsibility supplier for customers who demand tight tolerances on complex, medium-volume components.
