Job Description

You will join us as an Senior Intern Analyst for the Summer of 2021 in our Knowledge Advantage group.

The Knowledge Advantage (“KA”) team is a key part of CPP Investments’ vision for 2025, a critical component of how we think about active management and a key part of how CPP Investments delivers edge by being one coordinated global Fund. The KA team’s mandate is to drive differentiated insights for the Fund through leveraging institutional memory and instigating productive collaboration across the Fund to tackle key questions its investors are facing. The team also creates and manages investment processes and tools that shape the Fund’s investment decision making process.

As part of the KA team, you will have your hand on the pulse of all investment activity across CPP Investments. You will contribute to a team that is tasked with proactively shaping a reflective and learning culture at CPP Investments which will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our investment process as we continue to scale our investing programs.

The summer program begins with a week-long Intern Orientation for you to engage with fellow Interns and learn about the resources and programs available to you. We offer company-wide departmental overviews for you to explore more about what we do at CPP Investments and give you the opportunity to gain exposure to senior leadership across the firm. You will quickly advance your knowledge and expertise through skills-based training and stimulating on-the-job assignments. What you will do

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with deal teams at the outset due diligence efforts using KA’s proprietary sources and tools to identify relevant expertise.
  • Identify and capture intellectual capital by working with colleagues across the Fund to collect and share high value investment information.
  • Synthesize, curate, and extend existing areas of investment insight that exist across the Fund for discrete audiences (e.g. Sector Virtual Teams).
  • Provide high-level demos of KA’s primary knowledge sharing tools and channels to colleagues across the Fund.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Candidates in an undergraduate program that will be returning to school in the Fall of 2021 are eligible to apply. We look for candidates with a strong track record of academic success while balancing extracurricular activities, as well as good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
