General information:Type of employment: PermanencyPlace: Ottawa, onsite (partially remote for the moment)Start Date:ASAPSalary:Very competitivePosition summaryThe Development Program Manager position is responsible for the effective management of the development plan and coordination of activities for all assigned Client products.ResponsibilitiesBuilds, owns, and manages the program schedule, often leveraging detailed plans from Technical Project Mangers.Develops a comprehensive resource plan that correlates specific disciplines to the development scheduleProvides guidance to Technical Project Manager(s) and/or development team on expectations for developmentCoordinates with Product Management to provide impact analysis of any discovery or requested scope changeContinuously reports on progress of development program in relation to current schedule and budget expectationsRaises awareness to stakeholders of any impediment or new discovery that may impact schedule, budget, or ability to meet intended scopeRaises awareness of any resource restriction that may impact ability to deliverAdvises the organization on any additional needs of the development team that may be outside the original planEnsures clear communication between all development groupsProvides updates on achievements and key milestonesLight to medium travel will be required based on the businessOther duties as assigned or requiredGeneral qualifications Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience7+ years of Program Management experience in the aviation/aerospace fields, ideally in satellite communication terminal development5+ years Project Management experienceInitiative, dependability, cooperation, and thoroughness in a team environment.Knowledge & SkillsStrong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and customer service skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact successfully with internal and external contacts.Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as independently.Effective and confident decision making and problem-solving skills, especially under time constraints.Ability to maintain confidentiality.If you’re interested in this role, please forward an up-to-date copy of your CV including hourly rate and availability, or call us now.
