Our Internet of Things (IoT) community represents one of the largest open source collaborations in the world, spanning 45 projects and 50 members, with over 8 million lines of code produced.

Eclipse IoT projects have been adopted by many of the world’s leading companies to deliver commercial IoT solutions and services.The Product Marketing Manager, IoT & Edge will have a directimpact on growing the awareness and industry adoption of our open source IoT and Edge Computing products, projects, and technologies.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in product marketing and/or product management in the software industry.

This position requires a global outlook, attention to detail, relationship building, and exceptional project management skills.Job ResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of senior management, develop and execute marketing programs to grow the awareness of and participation in the Eclipse IoT, Edge Native, Sparkplug, and/or other assigned working groups or strategic initiatives.As the marketing team’s expert on the IoT and Edge landscape, collaborate with marketing team members, internal stakeholders, and external agencies to plan and execute marketing initiatives.Prepare marketing materials, content and programs to educate software developers and architects on the merit of using and adopting Eclipse IoT and Edge technologies.

Assets and programs to include videos, articles, tutorials, webinars, survey reports, and other content as deemed appropriate.Create compelling content to articulate the value proposition of corporate membership in the Eclipse IoT, Edge Native, Sparkplug, and/or other assigned working groups.Collaborate with working group members to develop joint marketing plans and to create content, including case studies and membership success stories.Make data-driven decisions to move Eclipse IoT and Edge products forward.

Forecast, measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.

Keep the organization up-to-date with market trends and competitive benchmarking.

Propose improved ways of operating based on the data.Promote and support the Foundation’s presence at developer conferences and community events.

As required, assist with event planning, including working with event coordinators, and design teams for booth designs and on-site collateral.Work with Sales, Business Development, and other internal teams to grow relevant contacts over time in the Foundation’s CRM.Find and engage with IoT and Edge industry influencers via social media and enable with them to promote our case.Support press and analyst relations, including participating in the preparation of press releases and analyst presentations.EducationUniversity Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Marketing or equivalent Desired Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of product marketing and/or product management experience.
