Sr Manager, Service Expansion


This position will report to the Director, Service Expansion. The Snr Manager will be responsible for national, regional and community level engagements and partnerships in developing new expansion regions.  The successful candidate will be a creative and thoughtful leader and influencer, hold a passion for working with customers, a comfort in speaking with community leaders and developing entrepreneurial strategies to deliver on growth objectives

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, oversee and manage expansion strategies and partnership frameworks to deliver on service expansion growth objectives
  • Represent Rogers externally and manage relationships with a diverse set of international partners, government organizations, Indigenous communities and associations
  • Create, test and pilot the programs and alternative methods and business constructs that solve for access challenges in underserviced communities nationally
  • Manage a portfolio of pilot projects, new programs and strategic partnerships from concept to execution
  • Drive and support the discovery and adoption of ongoing innovation and differentiation in service expansion
  • Lead a successful handoff, go-to-market plan and provide ongoing support to active programs


  • The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • 3-5 years’ experience in business development, managing strategic projects and initiatives for global organization
  • Demonstrated success and proven relationship building, partnership building and negotiation of complex business engagements
  • Direct and current knowledge of the telecommunications industry, the fundamentals of network infrastructure and carrier partnerships
  • Creative problem solver, pragmatic decision maker, calculated risk taker, and independent / diplomatic individual contributor who gets things done; Team player with a can do / will do attitude 
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Advanced computer skills: MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Skype for Business, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other desktop publishing tools
