What can you expect in this role?

Reporting to the Manager of Content on our Integrated Marketing & Communication team, the Content Marketing Specialist will play an instrumental role in our team’s mission to drive Economical’s brand awareness through digital channels, while also supporting content development for product marketing campaigns and collateral. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Content Marketing Specialists and Strategists, and will collaborate with our Communication, Social Media, Digital, Design, PR, and Analytics team members. In this role, you will:

  • Write high-quality copy for a variety of materials, from blog posts and infographics to social media ads and thought leadership articles
  • Conceptualize, research, and create compelling content that educates and inspires our audiences to take action
  • Work with colleagues across our Integrated Marketing & Communication team to produce written content for a variety of media: web copy, blog posts, fact sheets, case studies, infographics, advertorials, email campaigns, online ads, print ads, video, etc.
  • Identify and repurpose high-value content to target different audiences and mediums
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to produce accurate, relevant copy
  • Make recommendations on channels and assets that will deliver the most impact
  • Edit content from internal and external contributors
  • Review available data/reports related to our content and adapt to maximize future results
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by ensuring our tone and the quality of our content meet corporate brand standards

What do you bring to the role?

  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills are a must
  • University degree or college diploma in copywriting, marketing, business communications, journalism, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive, professional experience in a copywriting or content marketing role
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills for a variety of content assets, including but not limited to web copy, blog posts, email campaigns, ads (digital and print), presentations, videos, thought leadership articles, and brochures
  • Experience in developing content for large-scale, integrated campaigns
  • Proven ability to develop content through deep consumer understanding and strong data analysis
  • Experience optimizing content for web and mobile properties
  • Experience with search engine optimization
  • Experience writing for and marketing to both B2B and B2C audiences is an asset
  • Strong ability to influence and natural ability to engage, persuade, and operate with key partners, through written and verbal communication
  • Agency experience is an asset
