What can you expect in this role?

Reporting to the Director Marketing & Brand Strategy, the Brand Manager will play an instrumental role in the development of strategic marketing programs and campaigns that will support ambitious growth targets across the company’s brands.  Your ability to leverage data and insights to plan and oversee the execution and assessment of campaigns in a high-volume, quick-turnaround environment will directly influence your success.  Your energy and enthusiasm will have internal and external teams rallying together toward a common goal.

Campaign Execution:

  • Under the guidance of the Director, Marketing & Brand strategy, work with internal and external resources to execute the company’s marketing campaign as we prepare to become a public company
  • Brief, direct and inspire internal creative services team and agencies to further develop and define our brand voice and identity
  • Collaborate with corporate marketing team and sub-brands to align brand direction with campaigns
  • Manage timelines, vendors and budgets
  • Manage brand activation and roll-out programs
  • Work with relevant stakeholders (ie. IR, PR, Media, Marketing teams, HR, Corporate Strategy,  
  • executives, etc.) and foster strong internal collaboration

Brand / culture integration:

  • Through execution of marketing plan bring to life the company’s purpose, core values and behaviours both internally and externally across the entire family of companies
  • Collaborate with HR and Change Management to define and integrate the marketing plan

What do you bring to this role?

  • University degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • 8 to 10 years professional experience in a marketing environment, preferably in both B2B and B2C
  • Applied knowledge of strategy and planning for multi-channel marketing including: advertising, media, web, social, email and digital and promotional strategies
  • Experience developing and presenting ideas and plans persuasively to key stakeholders and senior leaders, and working collaboratively to bring them to life
  • Curiosity and a passion for innovation and integrated campaign planning and delivery
  • Experience managing external vendors and internal resources
  • Experience managing brands in both official languages and a keen appreciation of cultural considerations in Canada
  • Exposure to insurance industry is an asset but not require
  • You’re a brand builder who thrives on executing plans that result in business growth
  • You’re as excited about the “big idea” as you are about managing success through budgets and timelines
  • A collaborator, you’re relationship-focused and you thrive in a team environment
  • You’re very organized, resourceful, and have impeccable attention to detail
  • You’re effective and calm when working under pressure
