Material Handler – Staggered Shift

This is a Contract position in Milton, ON posted August 18, 2020.

Req ID 085528 Eaton’s Electrical is currently seeking a Material Handler – Staggered Shift to join our team.

This position is based at our Milton, Ontario facility.

Position Overview The material handler will be responsible to process inbound, outbound and internal material for Eaton’s Satellite, Customer and LVDA site orders.

In this position you will receive and inspect all incoming materials for warehouse and Work-in-Process (WIP) while maintaining Eaton’s WIP Data Base.

In addition, the material handler will pack, weigh and load trucks for all outbound materials.

You will maintain balances and on hand accuracy for the warehouse.

This position in located on our staggered shift and will support multiple shifts (1st and 2nd shifts) and providing coverage for second shift when required.

The core hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 9:30am
– 6:00pm.

In This Function You Will Unload and receive material accurately using the ORACLE system Pick and count material of various weights and sizes accurately using a hand-held scanner Package and load material to ensure end user satisfaction Support and assist team members with various tasks throughout the warehouse Operate lift equipment safely to move material in and out of high bay racking and around the plant.

Material Handlers will drive a variety of machinery including counter balance, reach truck and order picker Perform cycle counts and audits where required Work with management team and coworkers to create a safety first and continuous improvement culture Solve routine warehouse problems Pick, pack, move, put away, wrap and load skids of various dimensions and weights When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger.

Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma, Grade 12 graduate or equivalent education from an accredited institution.

No relocation provided.

Candidates must reside within 80km of Milton to be considered.

Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with order picker or working at elevated heights.

3 or more years’ experience operating counterbalance or reach trucks.
