The Head of Design at Q4 is a new role reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.  In this role you will lead the UX and Product Design team, build a new mantra and vision for the organization design strategy and increase speed to market. 
The ideal candidate will be a consensus and data-driven leader who has experience in leading B2B / B2C SaaS design & usability within a high growth technology company that has 1 Million+ global daily users.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build the vision and future state model for a world class design team.
  • Lead, develop, coach, and mentor a diverse team of product design professionals
  • Deliver clear trust, responsibility, accountability and ultimately alignment within the design team as well key stakeholders to drive consistent outcomes
  • Develop the overall design strategy for the Q4 Client Experience
  • Optimize and extend our processes to integrate design across our the Q4 Client Experience
  • Be a clear stakeholder in the organization and a key advocate for design within our strategy
  • Drive innovation across the portfolio via rapid prototyping to drive inspiration and make Q4’s portfolio vision tangible
  • Collaborate closely with peers and executives in the product management, engineering and marketing groups to deliver an integrated user experience.

What You Bring To The Role

  • 10+ years in product design within software companies.
  • Proven track record in integrating “joy of use” across SaaS B2B or B2C applications.
  • Proven capabilities in leading large-scale design principles, strategies and initiatives in SaaS organizations.
  • Capable leader who can build, grow and develop others into leaders and subject matter expertsA clear understanding and experience in building out design people and leadership development models.
  • A thought leader who leads design thinking, often cited in articles, conferences and publications.
  • Clear understanding of Agile software principles and align with design thinking.
