Job DescriptionSHIFT: Afternoons, 2:45pm 11:30pm (M-Th), 2:45pm 8:30pm(Fri)LOCATION: Milton, ON (Steeles Ave and James Snow Parkway)STATUS: Full time, permanentWAGE: $16.00 $17.00 per hour (includes base rate + $1.25 in premiums)PURPOSE OF POSITION:This position suits someone who is interested in hands-on Warehouse work, but looking to take on a bit more responsibility.

The person in this role assists with the set-up of workstations, quality inspection, and monitoring of various light packaging assembly jobs.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Read specific written instructions and set-up assembly line accordinglyShow others on the production line the assembly stepsLoad production lines with small, light products at high speedsOpen boxes of product to prepare for the assembly linePackaging finished products neatly and carefully, according to specificationsCheck line productivity and report to Project Team LeaderPerform Quality Check on production line to ensure finished products meet the standards, filling out form and providing to the Project Team LeaderOperate handheld scanners as necessary to pick productLift and move boxes of product, building skids for shipmentMove skids around the warehouse using a pump truckRe-stock product for the assembly lineFollow and comply with all instructions, procedures, and policiesMulti-task when required, adapting to changing projects and prioritiesOther duties as assigned by Team LeaderSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Previous Warehouse experience an assetRF scanner (handheld) experience an assetAbility to multi-task and keep up in a fast paced environmentMust be thorough and accurate.

Strong attention to detail required for Quality Assurance purposesAccountable and dependableStrong respect for health & safetyAbility to train and share knowledge with othersGood verbal and written communication, able to fill out basic paperwork adequatelyPHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:Warehouse environment, highly QA controlled and very clean.
