Adecco is currently recruiting for a Procurement Consultant for a 6-month contract with possibility of extension with our Crown Corporation Client in Ottawa, ON.

The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or to be eligible.The Procurement Consultant will have the following responsibilities: Be responsible for leading, planning, conducting and controlling all aspects of procurementinitiatives and activities under their signing authority and ensures these activities are incompliance with legal requirements; Initiate and conduct planning with client groups, lead cross-functional teams in the suppliersourcing/contracting process and prepare and issues NAFTA and RFP/RFQ documents; Chair supplier clarification meetings, co-ordinate clarification responses, and ensure evaluationcriteria are complete and valid; Lead and conduct proposal evaluation, evaluate and analyze complex corporate requirements toensure lowest life cycle costs are met; Plan and prepare purchasing strategy for negotiations by analyzing the general economic andfinancial information available and summarize complex discussions into appropriatemathematical model; Conduct negotiations for the acquisition of goods and/or services, negotiating cost-effectivesolutions, mitigating risks, preparing, evaluating and negotiating contract terms, conditions andpricing within strict timeframes and developing contracts and related support documentationensuring fully defined conditions; Seek input/support from client group and budget holder to ensure mutual understanding andagreement with negotiation approach and corporate targets; Chair bidder conferences; implement corporate policies, procedures and quality controlstandards, prepare business briefings to respond to management, supplier debriefings andpotential legal challenges from suppliers; award contract to successful supplier/contractor andnotify the unsuccessful, and develop contract documents; Ensure supplier performance and all elements of the goods and/or services are delivered inaccordance with the statement of requirements and/or specifications; Monitor contract deliverables, ensure that all elements of the goods or services are delivered inaccordance with the scope of work, identify and resolve issues, between the supplier and theclients and terminate contracts for non-compliance of contractual obligations; Educate and interpret procurement policies and procedures to clients, identify and recommendchanges, negotiate procurement timelines with clients and suppliers, analyze and identifyopportunities to increase efficiencies, improve service and reduce costs.The Procurement Consultant must meet the following mandatory requirements: University degree in a relevant discipline such as Commerce, Finance, Purchasing or EngineeringOR a college degree of 3+ years in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management; Minimum of 3 years of recent (within the last 2 years) experience working in a Procurementdepartment; Experience in theissuance and evaluation of RFP’s, RFQ’s, ITT’s, RFI’s, extensive experience inProcurement planning, business case development, supplier development, and extensiveknowledge of applicable trade agreements and industry standards; Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) of Canada, SCMP / CSCMP Designation orworking towards designation are considered as an asset.If you are interested in applying to the Procurement Consultant position, please submit your resume assoon as possible by clicking on the “Apply with Adecco” button above.
