Industrial Mechanic / Millwright

Magneto Electric Service Co. Ltd.

This is a Contract position in Mississauga, ON posted September 25, 2020.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Must have Electric Motor Repair, Installation, Maintenance Experience to apply.
  • Repair of AC/DC motors, Gearbox, Transformers; Shafts; Rotors; Industrial servo motors; Generators; 4000V motors; Coils; Bearings; Armatures.
  • Ability to disassemble, accurately identification of parts, identification the exact location or condition of interaction of various parts, re-assembly of repair equipment.
  • Test and document electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment;
  • Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors;
  • Perform on-site servicing and repair;
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment;
  • Able to identify replacement parts or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components;
  • Basic testing of repaired motors, transformers, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance;
  • Able to follow basic work instructions and ensure all processes are verified.

Must have Electric Motor Repair, Engineering, Installation, Maintenance Experience to apply.

Security and Safety clearance. 
Driver’s validity license is a must.

Must have own tools/equipment.

Must be punctual and exceptional detail oriented.
Hands on knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. 
Mechanical measurements and tolerance knowledge would be an asset.
Basic machinery assembly experience.
Electrical and electronic control knowledge would be an asset.

Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their applications.

High school diploma or equivalent technical training. 
At least 3 years’ experience interpreting basic mechanical drawings.

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

Able to follow basic health and safety procedures and protocols.


Salary: 25.00-36.00
