The Communications Team has an immediate opening on the Wireless team for an experienced communications professional who has a proven track record of building strong narratives for both internal and external audiences, creating compelling content and delivering results. Reporting to the Senior Manager Communications, you will support strategies to protect and advance Rogers reputation, engage key stakeholders and enable business results. What you will be doing:

  • Help develop and drive a best-in-class communications program to support and promote Rogers Wireless business (Rogers, Fido and chatr brands) and reputation
  • Partner with colleagues across communications and business teams to create compelling content to leverage internally and externally
  • Tell sustained internal narrative to educate and engage employees
  • Build excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Support team to produce and deliver effective employee communications programs
  • Manage key issues to build and protect Rogers reputation
  • Represent communications on key cross-functional teams and projects to provide strategic input, aligning with company priorities

What you have:

  • University degree and/or diploma in communications, public relations or journalism
  • 3-5 years of experience in external and internal communications
  • Exceptional presentation and communications skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to help develop and drive a sustained, strategic communications program that delivers measurable results
  • Strong team player, highly collaborative
  • Strategic and creative thinker
  • Ability to influence decisions and provide counsel to cross-functional teams
  • Solutions-focused with the ability to take initiative, be resourceful, proactive and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and PowerPoint)
  • Relevant telecommunications and / or government experience considered an asset
