Prioritize work load based on production requirements and work within allotted hours and budget
Program robotic welding cell for part production
Operate and Troubleshoot robotic welding cell as required
Set-up robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems
Work with technical staff to develop welding procedures as required
Assist in data collection to support continuous improvement activates of weld fixtures cells
Assist in the investigation, design, building, installation, programing and start-up of new products and systems
Create and modify welding programs for new and existing products or systems.
Assist in the creation of standard practices and procedures for robotic cell operation
Train robotic cell operators (fitters), ensuring proper fit up techniques and tacking techniques to achieve successful welding during robot operation
Ability to evaluate weld quality to ensure suitable welds are applied the first time in preparation for quality inspection
Responsible for training/educating operators on the safe/proper use of products or systems.
May work directly with vendors regarding Cambridge Pro Fab Inc. interests
Work with QA/Manufacturing Processes/Maintenance Manager etc. to determine welds that can be added or dropped from the Robots, depending upon the situation.
Function as part of the Research and Development team
Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product
Produce assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitive lifting
Ensure compliance to Cambridge Pro Fab Inc.’s Quality Assurance Manual
Read check sheets and prints to determine specifications and accurately complete all required functions
Accurately document and maintain information in written or electronic form
Perform quality checks as prescribed and report issues to Manager
Modify computer-controlled robot movements
Strong background in robotic work cell programming, operation and trouble shooting
Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office, Solid Works, Octopuz
Proficiency in various machine codes (DXF, G-Code NC1) to sue with various CNC driven equipment
Excellent communication, technical writing and organization skills
Ability to work well with others and independently
Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail
Works well under pressure
Extended hours may be required from time to time
Travel to other CPF locations, suppliers or contractors
