Technical Planning and Collaboration Manager


This is a Contract position in Markham, ON posted September 9, 2020.

Job responsibility: Assist the Senior Technical Planning and Collaboration Manager with strategic planning and ongoing collaborations, including but not limited to: track the industry trend, identify the future critical elements and technology requirements and recommend them to our Research Team Assist with exploring and building collaborations with top universities and pioneering research teams on key technologies areas based on the demands from the Research Team Assist with driving the complete process of collaboration management, including but not limited to: end-to-end project initiation and closure, contract review and negotiation, project milestone tracking, evaluation and reporting, budget planning and control, change control, etc.

Assist with communicating with PIs (Principal Investigator), professors, top researchers, including workshop organization, sponsorship discussion, and responding to their questions and requests Perform other responsibilities and tasks given by the Technical Planning and Collaboration Manager Qualification MANDATORY: A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields with a broad knowledge in software related areas (including low-level architecture design, database, machine learning and optimization, etc.) 3 to 5 years of experience working in collaboration related fields, preferably interacting between industry and academia, with previous experience in reviewing legal-related document (contract or agreement).

Knowledge of national funding application is an asset.

Bonus: Mandarin speaking is an asset This position is a 12 months contract.
