Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll contribute to CIBC’s Financial Crimes Technology group by successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving Actimize deployments. As an Application Developer you’ll  build, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the business user experience with the Actimize systems. As you lead the planning and strategy for the technical design, development, and integration of these applications, you’ll help build the future of banking.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Design & Develop: Perform complex application programming activities involving Oracle PL/SQL, Java script and Java programming on a third party case management tool, Actimize along with its core AML products, CDD and SAM. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives while also maintaining existing applications
  • Programming Ability: Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities: develop code, test, debug, document, and adjust in order to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of programs, set up and maintain code repositories.
  • Lead & Influence: Lead code-review sessions and ensure overall code quality aligns with business and project requirements. Build knowledge base by creating and maintaining detailed design and configuration documents for Actimize applications,  Monitor production and user acceptance testing support to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies.

  • You can demonstrate experience in: 5 – 7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Fine tuning queries, Java script and Java. Prior experience with Linux RHEL 7.7. You have good knowledge of: Object Oriented Design, SOAP/XML, XSLT and VTL.  It’s an advantage if you have experience with Actimize development tools, Active directory LDAP set up, DevOps integration, JBoss/Tomcat, Autosys, writing Unit Test and UI automation tests within an Agile environment.
