The Digital Technology team is looking to add a strong Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to a well-established global digital team. This position requires a passionate learner, an independent thinker, works well collaboratively across multiple disciplines and is comfortable working with various people and technology stacks. Your work will be in the space of Quality Assurance and Engineering involving design, developing, maintaining, and executing automated testing solutions and will be critical to delivering digital solutions to our customers all over the world.
About the Role
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:
Design and Implement – automated testing solutions by understanding business needs, defining test scenarios, building test scripts using tools/frameworks and comprehensive understanding of software development life cycle/Agile methodologies. Test applications across a range of technologies including web, mobile, batch processing, CMS, REST services
Be a Team Player – work in a collaborative team-oriented environment, share information, value diverse ideas, partner with cross-functional and remote teams. Coach and assist less experienced quality assurance engineers
Be Curious & Innovative – continuously update yourself with next-generation technology, development tools, and contribute to process development practices.
Be an Agile Person – involved in the sprint team. Communicate on issues that may affect QA sprints, identify process improvements, & work with the technical team to ensure sprint success. Review user stories providing feedback on testability and effort estimations from a quality assurance perspective
Be an Effective Communicator – articulate complex technical issues, share ideas, participate in peer-reviews, and exhibit strong listening skills. Ability to communicate effectively with Product Owner, technical staff, management, and business team members
Take Ownership – track & report quality assurance metrics, such as defect density, open defect counts and defect leakage.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Senior Quality Assurance Engineer if you have:
2-5 years of experience designing, developing, maintaining and executing automation tests or similar in Java or other Object-Oriented languages
Experience working with and developing automated test scripts using Gherkin and frameworks such as Selenium, Worksoft, etc.
2+ years of experience working with the Agile methodology and related testing and test automation techniques.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
Preferred:
Managing code and changes in a team environment with experience using Git source control
Proficient and have a solid understanding of Selenium
Hands-on experience with a white box and black box testing
Knowledge of TDD and/or BDD concepts
Experience working with Continuous Integration
Technologies a plus, to include: Adobe Experience Manager, Cucumber-JVM, JavaScript and ReactJS
Other experience a plus, to have: Performance, accessibility and security testing
