In this role, you will be a member of KPMG Canada’s Information Technology team. This team is responsible for delivering technology services to KPMG Canada’s 9000+ professionals.

 

Overview of the opportunity:

 

KPMG Canada is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Senior Manager of End User Technologies to manage the technologies required to deliver endpoint, application and platform services to the Canadian firm. In this role, you will be responsible for desktop and mobility management, business critical application delivery and third level support and Microsoft 365 and Power Platform service adoption, administration and third level support. To succeed in this role, you should have extensive experience with Microsoft desktop and cloud technologies, expertise in managing technology related risk at the enterprise level and excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.

What you will do

  • Manage a team of eight (8) highly skilled managers, architects and tier 3 support analysts
  • Accountable for managing the KPMG Desktop Image and all major changes and updates to ensure ongoing platform stability and efficacy for 9000+ KPMG professionals
  • Accountable for managing KPMG Canada’s mobility management platform (inTune) and the underlying services, security compliance, application availability and connectivity best practices
  • Accountable for tier 3 support, incident, problem and change management related to KPMG Canada’s desktop, application and mobility platforms
  • Responsible for technical leadership associated to the adoption of all new end user facing technologies with a particular emphasis on Microsoft’s 365 & Power Platforms
  • Responsible for the ongoing optimization and security of the end user technologies ecosystem
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key technical and non-technical decision makers at the national and international level to help drive continuous improvement and platform adoption
  • Ability to quantify the needs of the business to achieve value outcomes, champion required methodologies, capture/reuse IP and share recommended practices
  • Be a bridge between the business and technology teams, clearly and concisely communicating technical concepts in layman’s terms

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
  • Master’s degree is a bonus
  • 10+ years of experience in the Technology field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams of highly technical and skilled resources
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technology platforms including Windows 10, SCCM, InTune, MEM, M365, D365, Power Platform
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT security best practices and threat protection
  • Experience securing end user technologies using tools such as Standard User, Group Policies, DLP and AIP
  • Experience with desktop and application virtualization leveraging cloud technologies such as Citrix Cloud or Windows Virtual Desktop
  • Extensive program and project experience
  • Extensive service management experience (incident, problem and change)
  • Experience deploying and managing COTS applications
  • Knowledge and experience building and working with cloud technologies and composable application architectures preferred
  • Experience negotiating SOWs, SLAs, MSAs, MSLAs from a business perspective
