Senior Full Stack Java Engineer

The Position
We’re looking for an eager and fast-learning senior Full-Stack Engineer that will work in a team environment to develop our enterprise digital asset management system.  The right individual is talented and would enjoy the challenge of applying their expertise to make a significant and lasting impact for Canadians across the country every day.

The Opportunity

You’ll be a key player on a team at the center of a project creating a digital asset management platform to power all of our lines of business.  Bring your fast-thinking, high-communication approach to our team with a focus on doing things right: clean code, integrated commits, accountability for code reviews, etc. 

In this role you will also be responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with our agile team in project planning and solution proposals.
  • Architecting, designing, and developing creative new features.
  • Working with data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • Performing peer code review to meet program quality targets
  • Identifying and diagnosing deficiencies related to systems, coding and infrastructure, and recommending creative solutions for mitigation.
  • Drafting system documentation for a wide variety of purposes.
  • Sustaining our high quality code by using version control with GIT (both local and using cloud-based platforms like Bitbucket) and maintaining in-depth system documentation.

Education/Other Requirements:

  • You have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a combination of equivalent experience with a college diploma
  • You can demonstrate progressive experience in systems development and analysis with a focus on Full Stack Development and Java development
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager will be considered an asset
  • Front-End Development experience will be considered an asset including:
    • JavaScript frameworks like React, AngularJS
    • Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript and CSS
