Junior Project Manager

This is a Contract position in Guelph, ON posted September 3, 2020.

Position Summary

The Junior Project Manager, Enterprise Applications supports the planning, tracking, reporting and execution of a series of projects in the Enterprise Applications portfolio. This position will provide analysis on business processes, support business case development, perform business research and also participate in business planning and will assist with special projects and assignments as required.

What you’ll be doing

• Apply project management methodologies to ensure project success
• Support the development of a project charter
• Develop project proposals, detailed work plans, time and cost estimates
• Provide formalized progressive work direction and leadership to assigned teams
• Initiate, direct and lead project meetings, prepare reports, maintain schedules and cost plans, manage and control for risks
• Track, monitor, and communicate project against the project plan, requirements, budget, quality measures, standard processes, and milestones
• Liaise with stakeholders on project progression
• Analyze and document business processes, develop detailed process flowcharts
• Development of business cases to support project initiation
• Perform business research to support project decision making
• Collect, review, and analyze information leading to recommendations
• Prepare and deliver presentations if required

What we’re looking for

• Bachelors or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant comparable credentials
• 2-3 years of project management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized, meticulous, technical and detail oriented
• Professional, collaborative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication and advanced level computer skills are required to facilitate meetings, coach staff, develop procedures and prepare executive reports
• Ability to work collaboratively while building strong professional relationships
• Project management certifications such as PMP or Agile Certification
