Story Behind the Need:
Business Group: GWMS – Online Brokerage & CRM Systems is seeking 2 Senior Java Developers to work on the SS SWM REPORTING – SOFTWARE CURRENCY Project, which involves upgrading the backend software and rewriting some of the program for the PureReports application. This project has just recently kicked off but is anticipated to go on for 8-10 months.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to get more hands-on exposure in the Wealth Portfolio, with the possibility to get extended.

Typical Day in Role:

  • Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
  • Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
  • Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
  • Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
  • Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

Must Have Skills/Requirements:

  • 5+ years of exprience with Java Back-end
  • 5 + years of exprience with Websphere
  • 5+ years of experience with SysAdmiral or similar scheduling tools
  • 5+ years of Linux/UNIX shell scripts
  • 3+ years of SpringBatch experience
  • Agile experience

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Financial/Banking experience (preferably in the Wealth Portfolio)
  • Experience with production support (understand the process)
