Job Description

We are looking for someone armed with a strong tool-kit to execute driven by TD Technology’s strategy and Next Evolution of Work leveraging agile methods to continuously improve IT service delivery through design, engineer, build and run. You’ll also provide technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security includes planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards. Apply your deep technology expertise to help ensure that all areas across the organization that require use of network technology are being serviced in fast, easy and efficient manner aligned with IT Service Catalog. Risk and control processes are well understood and documented.
Apply an in-depth understanding of relevant business needs and work with technology partners to identify and leverage synergies across the various areas. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate with data, tools and code to automate and digitally transform the IT service delivery processes and procedures. Draw on best practices and your knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve products or services.
Summary of key responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong knowledge of Network engineering frameworks, technology roadmaps, tool capabilities, processes and procedures, as well as organization issues
  • Interpret client needs, assess requirements ensuring secure and stable operations and identify solutions to non-standard requests
  • Leverage technology expertise of networks to ensure that all areas across the organization that provision, manage and support network technologies have the required governance and oversight to effectively execute on their respective mandates
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to launch new services, features, and enhancements on time and within budget
  • Develop relationships with internal customers to make sure their requirements are considered on current and future hosting service solutions
  • Define service features, support cost models, show back & utilization, service OLA’s, KPI’s and metrics, strategy and roadmap, market analysis and customer evangelism
  • Provide oversight and a broad range of operational services/support to technology partners such as Service Quality / Service Availability metrics against SLAs, stability action plans, operational readiness, vendor support engagement for network products.
  • Drive frequent collaboration with internal customers in coordination with engineering teams to understand technology requirements and their roadmap
  • Go to person for questions around service levels, features, request catalog, and processes
  • Represent customers and manage uptake of new enhancements by coordinating with internal engineering and / or external vendors
  • Make sure the right service is delivered at the right time and still has relevance throughout lifecycle in alignment with audit and compliance
  • Work with vendor platform providers and engineering peers to keep abreast of trends, products, frameworks, and applications
  • Identify and effectively manage stakeholder engagement and impacts across the enterprise
  • Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines
  • Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
  • Participate in knowledge transfer with senior management, the team, other technical areas and business units
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team
  • Act as a key contributor in a complex and critical environment
  • Apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations

Requirements

Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

  • University or Post-Graduate Degree.
  • Strong academic background (e.g. computer science, engineering).
  • 7+ years IT Networks experience.
  • Expert knowledge IT service management frameworks, tools, processes and procedures.
  • ServiceNow process automation experience
  • Agile/Scrum certifications
  • Technology service design/management expertise
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated team player; reliable with positive “can do” attitude
  • Strong communicator
  • Demonstrated infrastructure design and implementation experience
  • Appetite for contributing within a complex and critical environment.
  • Leadership prowess when it comes to teams or projects; shares expertise.
  • Well-honed, in-depth skills and broad knowledge to address complex problems and non-standard situations.
  • Understanding of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI)
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills (Excel, Visio, PPT, Word)
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with peers, internal and external customers and IT partners
  • Ability to remain resilient under high pressure projects or regulatory demands.
  • Support Agile approach of metrics, visual status boards, performance dialogues, continuous improvement process
