One of our government clients is looking for a Business Integration Specialist (IT, LEAN, BPR, Public Exp) Length: Contract term is 12 months with a possibility of extension Location: Toronto, ON Responsibilities:
– Provide deployment site coordination and readiness support to PHU’s and stakeholders
– Support the implementation of business-critical software applications and systems, including processes and roles/responsibilities
– Process decomposition/mapping and business process re-engineering (BPR)
– Support implementation off required desktop hardware/software
– Connectivity and access verification
– Checklist verification and schedule confirmations
– Observe testing procedures and results
– Isolate root/actual cause of an issue as opposed to the symptoms of an issue
– Analyze resources for the implementation of IT solutions
– Conduct feasibility studies for business integration projects, including opportunities for integration of the provincial Immunization Repository and the CCM solution
– Provide expert advice, identifies and recommends requirements and solution options in support of infectious disease public health activities, including infectious disease case, contact, and outbreak investigation and management, immunization administration, and vaccine distribution and delivery (inventory)
– Provide business risk management and risk assessment
– Provide on-site end user system support and guidance
– Harvest and record lesson learned
– Provide reports and debriefing to core team post deployment
– Develop second iteration deployment toolkits.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements: Technical Skills
– 25% 10 years of experience with:
– Experience with business tools including but not limited to: Jira and Confluence, Microsoft, Oracle, Sybase, Knowledge of Public Sector IT applications and services
– Knowledge of LEAN Principles to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement.

Core Skills and Experience
– 30% 10 years of experience with:
– Experience with “rapid-based customer requirement gathering techniques” and methods
– Directly supporting the implementation process of business-critical software applications and systems
– Process decomposition/mapping and business process re-engineering (BPR)
– Ability to isolate root/actual cause of an issue as opposed to the symptoms of an issue
– Analyzing resources for the implementation of IT
– Conducting feasibility studies for business integration projects
– Business risk management and risk assessment
– Developing business integration methodologies
– Strong business analysis skills
– Preparing cost/benefit analysis
– Providing detailed documentation for system design, integration, configuration, and implementation of related activities.

Public Sector/Healthcare Experience
– 5%
– 5 years of experience working with federal/provincial/broader public-sector healthcare providers
– Knowledge of Public Sector Architecture artifacts (or similar), processes and practices, and ability to produce technical documentation that comply with industry standard practices
– In-depth knowledge of industry standard such as Project Management Institute (PMI) and Public Sector I&IT project management methodologies.

– Knowledge and experience with Public Sector or Broader Public-Sector health related projects
– Knowledge and understanding of Ministry policy and IT project approval processes an d requirements
– Experience adopting and adhering to Public Sector Unified I&IT Project Methodology,Public Sector Enterprise Architecture and Public Sector Gating process, and Public Sector Standard Systems Development Methodologies
– Experience with large complex IT Health-related projects
– Demonstrated experience with GO-ITS Digital Health standards, and internal branch standards.
