Analyst, Business Architecture


This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted February 5, 2021.

What is the opportunity?

The objective of our Business Architecture team is to drive bottom-line impacts for the service pillars in FSS, accomplished through analysing, re-engineering, optimizing and automating processes leveraging a variety of technical levers. Success is delivering transformational changes that achieve measurable improvements in both process efficiency and employee satisfaction, enhancing analytical capabilities of our service pillars.

The Analyst, Business Architecture is responsible for identifying process optimization opportunities, supporting process redesign, producing and implementing technical solutions, along with documentation.

What will you do?

  • Develop a deep understanding of processes assigned through analysis and SME interviews. Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, streamline processes with process efficiency, controls and end user experience mindset
  • Hands-on implementation of process changes and automation, including technical development, testing, functional and technical documentation, training, and transition into BAU
  • Partner with SME, as well as Change Champions, to plan and deliver change management activities, e.g. stakeholder analysis, communications, training, etc.
  • Partner with the Automation team and IT for solution implementation and post-implementation support as appropriate
  • Support Project Lead and Solution Architect in large scale process transformation initiatives

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Services
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis and process optimization applying Lean Six Sigma
  • 3+ years of experience in Python, R, Java, PowerShell or other programming languages
  • Experience with data transformation technologies, such as Monarch, Alteryx, Astera, etc.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Visio and SQL
  • Project management experience. Demonstrated ability to manage assigned initiatives and coordinate with stakeholders to drive progress and results
