The HRBP will also take part in various projects regarding human resource management in order to support Lowe’s Canada’s strategic plans.Your role :Champion the facility’s recognition, engagement and positive Employee Relations.Identify improvement opportunities and/or HR challenges to which leaders are exposed.Provide guidance, coaching and consultation regarding leading people and management best practices to develop site people leaders, encouraging them to adopt the behaviour expected of leaders within Lowe’s.Partner with location management team to engage and coach warehouse associates.Advise on matters related to company policy and employment legislation.Support the employee relations processes including leading workplace investigations (harassment, discrimination, etc), coordinating presence management initiatives, writing corrective letters and providing continuous coaching.Ensure the recruitment, employment, payroll, and benefit programs are followed in accordance with Company guidelines and partners with COEs on these matters as required.Liaise with claims management and local management to ensure early and safe return to work initiatives are executed and that WSIB reporting is completed within required timelines.Track and report various workforce metrics (attendance, turnover, staffing, etc.)Conduct training as needed for both salary and hourly employees to support the Corporate Mission.Provide interviewing skills training and support to new and existing management personnelActively contribute to the deployment and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, and procedures, as well as working conditionsParticipates in any other projects that contribute to achievement of corporate goalsJob RequirementsThe qualifications we are looking for :Minimum 2-4 years experience in a generalist Human Resources role; preferably in a Retail,Distribution, or manufacturing environment.Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management/Business ManagementCHRP/CHRL designation or in progress.Demonstrated proficiency in Payroll, HRIS systems (preferably Kronos & Workday)Demonstrated knowledge of applicable OHSA, ESA, and MOL standards.Proficiency in an advisory role with strong interpersonal/ communication skills in order to influence others and work effectively at several levels of the organization and across multiple functional areas.Is process-oriented and has a strong bias to action.Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multi tasks simultaneously.Enjoys driving the resolution of problems and is motivated by an environment of constantly taking on new challenges.LI-SS2020Note: This form indicates the general nature and level of work performed by employees with this job title.
