This is a Full-time position in Thunder Bay, ON posted August 31, 2020.

This is a temporary position with an unknown end date reporting to the Human Resources Manager and all applicants must be able to legally work in Canada at the time of applying for the position.

The Occupational Health Nurse is an integral part of the Human Resources Team and is responsible for providing primary care investigation and diagnosis of occupational and non occupational injuries and illnesses for the employees of the site.

The successful candidate willparticipate in the return to work process, administer theWSIB,Weekly Indemnity reporting programand the Modified Work Program.

This position will also play a key role in providing the appropriate health screening referrals and reviews with respect to the recruitment process.

In addition, the position would be responsible for administering, organizing and providing health education programming, and audiometric testing.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a recognized Nurse Practitioner Program and possess a Certified Occupational Health Nurse designation, combined with at least twoyears of experience directly related to occupational health and safety in an industrial setting.

A valid Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario (NP-Advanced Practice) is required, coupled with strong communication, and leadership skills, proven time management skills, advanced computer skills, and a demonstrated knowledge of legislative requirements.
