You will provide support for CEDAs You See It, You Own It’ philosophy and provide internal and external customers with industry leading HSE support.

The base work schedule is dependent on project and business requirements.This position is ideal for someone who has HSE experience in industrial services/maintenance in the oil & gas industry with a working knowledge of related legislation and the ability to interpret the regulations and laws.

If you are an individual who is excited by new challenges, self – motivated, and accountable, looking for a position with growth opportunities; apply now!Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide support for implementing and maintaining CEDAs HSE programs/ systems throughout CEDA RegionLiaison with internal and external customers and third parties, to increase awareness on HSE mattersReport and conduct incident investigations as per CEDAs Incident Management PracticeResponsible for ensuring project and business HSE Documentation is being utilized on the fieldMaintain and regularly communicate a regional specific training matrixAudit and monitor compliance to CEDAs and customer HSE Management SystemsCoordinate internal and external HSE audit programs (COR/ISO)Ensure quality investigations – help get investigations closed out within allotted time frameComplete hazard ID’s ensuring controls are put in placeSupport safety meetings by providing relevant information for use during the meeting and actively participating throughoutIdentify HSE coaching opportunities throughout the organization, offer yourself as a HSE mentor and actively participate in improving CEDAs Culture with leadership and those on the front linePerforming inspections and field tours in accordance with CEDA/customer expectationsSupport onboarding new hires (HSE documentation, Safety Tickets, SSE Program)Manage monthly shop/lay down inspection processesRole Specifications5-10 years of experience in Health and Safety roleFormal training required; minimum National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or equivalentPreferred formal training; HSE diploma or certificate such as; Occupational Health and Safety (OH& S) certificate or diplomaCanadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designationCertified Safety Professional designation (CSP)Working knowledge of related legislation and the ability to interpret the regulations and laws is requiredMinimum G licence is requiredFrequent travel to site locations is required (at least once a week)Must be available for call workOperational field experience in upstream or downstream oil industry an assetSkillsStrong presentation skills, with the ability to adapt the style based on the audienceEffective communication and interpersonal skills allow you to clearly and concisely present information to clients, peers and field personnelYou take pride in a safety first mindset and are proud to be able to quickly respond to emergencies 24/7Strong time management and organization skills will allow you to prioritize changing work scope and meet multiple deadlinesYour strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others allow you to gain commitmentExperience with using the Microsoft Suite and you pick up new computer programs/software quicklyYou are highly motivated and proactive; eagerly accepting new challenges and working under minimal supervisionCEDA1Additional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
