We partake in wide variety of technically challenging and interesting projects for clients Engineering department with large firms, so your exact responsibilities will vary depending on the project to which you are assigned. You will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager and be working with our client, and other employees to provide project management services.

Each project is typically 6 months to 2 years in duration and in between projects assignments, you will work in our Pickering office, assisting with managing our internal new products and solutions.

  • Work with a team of skilled engineers, designers, procurement contractors, vendors as well as other project support staff and stakeholders;
  • Manage nuclear related projects as well as the staff and subcontractors;
  • Ensure the cost effective, safe and timely completion of projects in order to meet or exceed client expectations;
  • Develop, track and maintain project schedules and budgets;
  • Identify and manage project risks and change controls;
  • Authorize commitments of expenditure on projects and approve the payment of invoices;
  • Provide leadership to the project team;
  • Be the primary contact for the client and other shareholders;
  • Oversee the client delivery responsibility and establish requirements as per procurement procedure.

Does this sound like you?

  • A university degree in engineering or technical degree/diploma and be PMP certified;
  • 2-4 years of working experience as a Project Manager;
  • Practical experience in the principles and practices of nuclear engineering as applied to design and construction of projects is preferred;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with interacting with multiple project teams;
  • Experience with the following:
    • Industry related scheduling systems (MS Project, Primavera);
    • Using MS Office suite including Word, Excel and Powerpoint;
    • Preparing proposals and Change Order Requests for clients;
    • Developing project execution plans and budgets;
  • Nuclear experience is considered an asset;
  • Effective communication, writing, organization and presentation skills. Language required:
    • English: 4/4
