Project Manager, Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO)

For over 60 years, execution has been at the core of what we do at Canada Goose. As we approach the next phase of our growth, and new complexities, we are organizing our business to continue to deliver successfully.

We have recently created an Enterprise Program Management Office to set the foundation of delivery across our business. Reporting to the VP, EPMO, the Project Manager, EPMO will be responsible for planning, managing and monitoring large, organizationally-complex projects.
This individual is highly organized, is a strategic thinker and collaborates well with others to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver projects: manage all aspects of a project life cycle and oversee it to completion – initiate projects by working with business partners, build business cases, conduct risk assessments, build project plans and RACIs, build objectives and success metrics, manage project risks and interdependencies, manage budgets and resources, build and manage timelines, track progress
  • Engage cross-functional partners and stakeholders: able to establish and build relationships with cross-functional partners and vendors (as needed) at all levels of the organization, including senior management to drive engagement and maintain accountability, escalating where appropriate to the VP EPMO.
  • Ensure learning is shared: foster a learning culture by tracking and reporting progress against all projects, providing updates to working teams and executive teams as required; ensure learnings are captured and transferred between appropriate projects
  • Develop materials to support communication and collaboration: create engaging presentation materials, support cross-functional partners in preparing materials for meetings
  • Support the development of our EPMO tools: support the development, communication, implementation and maintenance of project management best practices across our business

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • 8-10 years work experience, with proven track record in Project Management, ideally at another apparel company or retailer
  • Proven ability to manage large projects covering multiple departments/stakeholders including senior management
  • An undergraduate degree in a discipline that teaches quantitative analysis, critical thinking, effective communication, and people leadership (e.g., Business). MBA considered an asset.
  • Formal people leadership / management experience considered an asset
  • Must be fluent in English

  • Project manager – can manage large projects spanning multiple departments/stakeholders, is meticulous, organized, and able to lead cross-functional teams toward shared goals
  • Facilitator – can help broker robust dialogue and discussion on important topics with executive level audiences, is energized by leading workshops, Working Teams and cross-functional problem-solving
  • Communicator – can synthesize ideas and thinking for sharing with others (both working-level and executive-level audiences)
  • Leader – has the gravitas and presence to inspire others to action, especially in scenarios without formal authority
  • Collaborative – able to partner and build relationships with other functions/business leaders to address complex problems and business issues
  • Strategic – can understand ‘The big picture’ and exercise good business and commercial judgment
  • Problem solver – can structure, break down, and solve complex business issues, taking into consideration multiple points of view and/or priorities
  • Analytical – can analyze and draw conclusions from large and/or complex data sources (both qualitative and quantitative data sets)

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment – combination of desk work and active meeting facilitation
  • Work from home during COVID-19 pandemic, as required
  • Minimal travel required (
