TECHNICAL SUPPORT (Product Specialist)RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Provide product and application technical support for all products
·Provide pre-sales support with the selection and application of correct products, and system solutions to customers’ needs
·Provide solid after sales support, through telephone consultations, application assistance, training and troubleshooting applications
·PLC/ HMI programming and programming support
·Fieldbus network support (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet and other fieldbus/ communication)
·Proof of concept testing and demonstrating the application and solutions to the customer
·Testing products in order to solve technical support questions
·Assistance to all departments regarding product or technical questions
·Field application assistance, face to face with customer as required
·Develop and maintain a good relationship with distributors and customers via positive help and attitude following the “Attributes that contribute to the provision of Excellence in Customer Service”.
·Provide support required by distributors (cross referencing competitor’s products, product recommendation and inform field sales as necessary)
·Inform customers/distributors about Product information: Literature, Drawings, Catalogues and Application Notes
·Assist and provide product training to distributors, agents and field sales as required
·Assist in building demo boards and control panels
·Qualify and develop leads for field sales
·Recommending and documenting improvements to technical support proceduresQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
·Engineering technologist certification or equivalent
·Experience and knowledge with PLC programming
·Experience in industrial automation field application support and installation
·Previous related technical support experiences an advantage
·Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written
·Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
·Understands the importance of meeting customer needs and expectations
·Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
·Must be well organized and able to handle multiple priorities
·Aptitude to understand successful business practices
·Willing/eager to continue learning/study and develop to full potential
·Evidence of being a self-learner
