Project Controls Manager

This is a Contract position in Kincardine, ON posted August 18, 2020.

Location: Working remotely while COVID measures are in place with possible visits for training and orientation Position: Project Controls Manager Duration: 12 Months Pay Rate: $90-100/HR MUST HAVE CURRENT OPG, CNL OR BP CISC CLEARANCE Responsibilities Identify, mitigate and manage risks to the client in respect of Williams Canada’s delivery of services to the client Provide input into preparing and implementing processes, procedures, and guidance related to Project Controls Establish and maintain links with relevant support functions to enable effective communication, planning and management of contractors and initiatives including leading any necessary work streams or working groups Ensure adequate and scalable arrangements are in place for the oversight of contractors to ensure compliance with applicable site standards/procedures.

Identify and communicate the sites daily priorities and weekly key milestones.

Provide leadership and technical guidance to Project Controls Group Assess project controls effort and ensure appropriate level of planning and control capability in each group based on the committed and anticipated work and the complexity of the planning effort in various department.

Requirements A minimum of 15 years of relevant Project Controls experience, with a heavy focus on schedule development and management, of which a minimum of 5 years spent in a Leadership role.

Experience in leading up to 50 schedule staff and leads within a Managed Task type contract Experience operating on a nuclear site would be an asset Knowledge and experience of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA) would be an asset Must be self-motivated and flexible relative to work assignments; possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to interface with peers, other company organizations, and Senior Management.

Leadership of complex change and ability to drive requirements into the business at practitioner level Understanding of all facets of Project Controls and how they integrate within a PMO Experience and understanding of engineering and construction EVMS Strong background in Project Schedule using Primavera P6 Superior oral and written communication skills as the Manager liaises with the Client multiple times per day
