Strategy Consulting
– Banking Financial Services Role and Responsibilities Consulting resources within our Banking and Financial Services (BFS) teams own and drive the delivery and execution of medium to large-size consulting projects for Fortune 500 banks and financial services firms.

Typical Consulting projects involve Business Strategy, Tech Strategy, Technology and Platform Optimization, Banking Regulatory and Market Trends, Digital Banking, Business Ops IT Transformation.

In addition, Consulting resources often take up leadership and senior level roles such as Program Project Manager, Business Solutions Architect, Business Analyst in large engagements that involve multiple service lines within Cognizant.


Consulting Engagement Execution Participates in solving of challenging client problems in a team or individual setup.

Identifies critical aspects of the engagement, contributes to data gathering and applies relevant tools, methodologies and techniques to support problem solving Adapts as required to dynamically changed client environment Formulates, articulates and prioritizes key conclusions Develops comprehensive set of sound recommendations Presents engagement outcome to client 2.

Thought Leadership Conducts research on the market and industry trends Contributes to development of new CBC service offerings Co-authors articleswhitepapers that demonstrate thought leadership Assists in building Knowledge artifacts (C)Practice Development Acts as mentor buddy for new joiners and help familiarize with Cognizant facilities, CBC environment, work culture etc.

CreatesReviews training materialmodules Actively shares knowledge and provides guidance within the team and beyond o Assists in recruitment activities Participates in internal process improvements 3.

Support to Business Development Participates in pre-sales activities Works as a team member in developing proposals and presentations o Contributes to RFPsRFIs and recommends value proposition Prepares and reviews client presentations Dedicatedly finds opportunities for existing and potential clients Key Focus Areas The applicant Should have strong domain experience and credentials in two or more of the following BFS consulting areas -Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Lending Mortgage, Cards and Payments, Capital Markets Wealth Management, Risk and Regulations, Cards and Payments, Fintech platforms esp Digital Technologies.

Should have broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and at least intermediate level proficiency in initiatives related to business technology strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.

Should have the ability to apply hisher deep understanding of the domain and related industry frameworks to plan, define and solution client engagements, and be able to appreciate top down as well as bottom-up perspectives to solution engagements.

Experienced in ProgramProject management tools and techniques, including use of agile and waterfall frameworks, project governance principles, project risk management principles and partner relationship management Should be proficient in Business Architecture and Requirements Gathering.

Should be a Problem Solver, Self Starter and Outcome focused individual with professional work ethic, who works well in teams with varied strengths.

Should have superb communication, data analysis, presentation, data visualization, processcapability modeling, presentation, and project management skills.

Basic Qualifications bull Develop reporting package, and track detailed progress issues on operating model work through bi-weekly cadence, and summarize for Senior Management bull bull Support developing detailed business casesproject chartersIAAP’s for key FY21 projects, and working sessions with key stakeholders Demonstrable skills in core consulting tools (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access etc.) and methodologies (data analytics, data visualization, process mapping etc.) Industry expertise in Banking and Financial Services area
– Capital Markets, Cards Payments, Consumer Retail, Business and other areas Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts to all audiences
– in addition to engaging clients (story boarding, executive level presentations etc.) Practical experience in capturing client requirements, mapping processes, conducting hypotheses based analysis, creating business cases, evaluating and presenting solutions Working knowledge of US Banking and Financial services industry including understanding overarching value chain, key players and roles, market trends etc.

Strong ability to lead teams of strong consultants and client resources in high-impact, high-pressure environment, and lead multiple task assignments in a cross-cultural team supporting different time zones Ability to quickly develop strong client relationships and interact with senior level clients Strong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment “Our strength is built on our ability to work together.
