Senior Manager, Next Generation Transformation (NGT) – STS

What is the opportunity?  

In this role, as Senior Manager, Next Generation Transformation (NGT), you will enable the success of our internal business partners through the realization of tangible business outcomes, in support of RBC’s Collective Ambition. The Strategy & Transformation Services (STS) team provides cross-enterprise, professional consulting expertise through innovative solutions surrounding Growth Strategies, Cost & Efficiency Transformation Strategies, Transformational Capabilities, and Research & Market Intelligence. Success is delivering transformational and sustained change, based on achieving measurable performance improvements, significantly enhancing the value-added activities to Business Units, Functional Units, staff, and customers.

What will you do? 

  • Acquire and demonstrate a deep knowledge of key internal processes, customer pain points and expectations, and internal stakeholder requirements
  • Constructively challenge the status quo and push for innovation (i.e. leverage our diversity of thought, show openness and different perspectives, take an active role, debate the solution)
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer experience through the application of multiple process re-engineering tools (e.g. Lean) and smart technologies (e.g. AI/ML)
  • Make good decisions based on an understanding of business and financial concepts
  • Lead transformational projects across multiple financial service processes, define approach, scope and focus of problem solving effort, and provide guidance to project teams
  • Lead successful business partner presentations, facilitate process re-design workshops (e.g. VSM),  and coach teams towards consensus, decisions and action plans
  • Gain the position of trusted advisor with colleagues and business partners by providing strategic advice
  • Communicate effectively, using proper business and financial language

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have  

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, strong business acumen, and a strategic mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including developed capabilities as a communicator and influencer
  • Track record of achievement, including a drive and passion to deliver impact through collaborative change leveraging on process re-design tools and technology
  • MBA – Business, Commerce, Engineering

  • Team player who enjoys working with colleagues and clients of all levels
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with complexity and ambiguity
  • Accreditations – Agile, Lean
