Billings Specialist – Pharmacy Operations 

• Markham – Head Office
• FREQUENT TRAVEL IN ONTARIO
• Permanent – Full time
• $65000-$70000, plus many benefits!

Our client, a large pharmaceutical retail and distribution group, requires a Billings Specialist to spearhead new billings initiatives and process improvement across the business. Based in Markham, the position will involve significant travel for  the first 18 months.  
Working with the Pharmacy Team, the Billings Specialist will guide and develop the business through day-to-day best billings practices, adding significant money to the company bottom line.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Director, you will work along side local branches/pharmacies.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee and drive changes to the prescription billing process to optimise outcomes whilst maintaining compliance
• Develop training and procedural documentation for the business related to billings
• Identifying efficiency and other opportunities, and implement new improvement projects as required
• Ongoing review and audit of billings across the entire operation
• Business reporting and analysis of results.

Requirements

• University or College education with relevant coursework for Business Management or Commerce
• Leadership skills with a focus on operations and business efficiency processes
• Billings expereince
• Experience and understanding of pharmacy billings (perhaps a pharmacy technician in the past)
• Advanced computer and systems skills, with a high regard for accuracy.
