Manager and Project Lead

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted September 8, 2020.

What is the opportunity? 
Our RBC Workforce Effective & Readiness team is hiring a
Manager and Project Lead to support One Centre. The Project Lead within WE&R is responsible for facilitating small to large cross-functional meetings and conduct information gathering sessions, resolve conflicts/issues pertaining to the requirements of the project and provide support to key stakeholders and partners through active participation in cross functional teams. This role is responsible for executing end to end vacation planning, process documentation and standardization, and acting as change leader within EPM/CPO.

What will you do?

  • Lead annual Vacation Planning Cycle and Implementation for over 2500 FTE.
  • Lead end-to-end requirement and information gathering sessions with various team members, on-shore (various locations in Canada) and off-shore, to document existing processes across the different Capacity Planning teams and lead conversations to standardize those processes as applicable.
  • Lead meetings with team leads and senior managers to share outcome of consolidated data and opportunities to drive process standardization. Walk through the findings, publish results and obtain sign-off.
  • Responsible for actively participating and leading changes to introduce the new standardized processes.
  • Contribute to successful assignment completion on time by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with operations and technology partners to promote the development and implementation of WFM tools and reports and manage partner relationship with external supplier resources (Capgemini) to provide strong workforce management capability, supporting business priorities & future direction.
  • Strategic lead on transformational initiatives, proactively managing all technology related initiatives including training and implementation including providing timely updates on project issues and deliverables to Project Manager and/or Project Coordinator.
  • Provides superior client/ employee experience & strengthens relationships with stakeholders ranging from Manager to VP level.
  • Contribute to overall WE&R strategy including leading and directing team of Analysts in their daily activities to maximize their contribution to the Capacity Planning of our various lines of business, and the WE&R team.
  • Proactively support integration of new lines of business identified as a result of new initiatives ensuring project deliverables are met within defined timelines.
  • Responsible for documenting and communicating to Capgemini and impacted internal stakeholders all CB OP’s initiatives for all lines of business.

    What do you need to succeed? 
    Must-have
     

  • Minimum BA/BS and 5+ years related experience in both Capacity Planning/Workforce Management
  • Proven analytic background coupled with a client first orientation aligned to strategic client and employee value propositions.
  • Strong and demonstrated Facilitation and Problem Management capabilities.
  • Ability to work closely with External Service Partners (Vendors).
  • Strong technical knowledge of WFM source systems e.g. Aspect, WFO, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of WFM processes and procedures to facilitate liaison with business partners.
  • Should have deep understanding of Excel, Access, Visio and PowerPoint skill.)

  • Responsibility for representative cost management through managing overtime and under time and overseeing representative efficiencies.
