About the roleAs a Manager, Finance, you will be responsible for the management of the Corporation’s accounting operations and the management of payroll, treasury back-office, the year-end audit process and, the provision of guidance and accounting expertise to other staff members.

This is a one year term role.

We trust you will be up to the challenge to: Manages the day-to-day financial accounting operations for the Corporation (including accounts payable, payroll, treasury back-office, taxes, etc.).Manages the financial administration activities for the Corporation ensuring the Corporation operates within the guidelines established by the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Administration Act, and the policies established by the Board of Directors.Manages the preparation and publication of the corporation’s external financial reports (in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards), including quarterly financial reports, CDIC’s annual financial statements and financial information in its Corporate Plan.Manages the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts and reviews all relevant financial reports.Liaises with representatives from the Office of the Auditor General in conjunction with the annual attest audit to complete the final set of comprehensive financial statements.Provides recommendations and guidance in relation to accounting, financial transactions and payroll issues.Recommends changes related to CDIC’s corporate accounting policies and procedures, and internal controls.Prepares reports for the Corporation’s Board of Directors and Audit Committee for the Controller and CFO, ensuring the information provided is well researched to support any decision-making activities.Manages assigned human and financial resources effectively and efficiently.
