Adecco is currently recruiting for a Financial Officer for a 12-month contract opportunity with our client in Ottawa, ON.

The successful candidate must be eligible or hold a valid reliability level of security clearance.

The candidate must also be comfortable working from home and during COVID.The Financial Officer will have the following responsibilities:-Creation, tracking and finalization of travel or other claims cost compared against the most economical means-Coding, totalling, entering, verifying, and reconciling transactions such as current and archived claims, cheques, and bank statements in a ledger or computer system or both-Providing general clerical support, including data inputting, processing and updating, routing correspondence; maintaining bring-forward systems; virtual meetings on MS Teams and Zoom, answering the telephone; operating telephone switching systems; and taking messages-Staying up to date on team goals, work processes and performance objectives.-Identifying early warning signs of potential problems, and alerting the manager and others, as needed.-Performing document and file management functions, including e-filing-Photocopying, faxing and scanning documents-Required reports and returns are competed and submitted within mandated timelines-Provide weekly updates on progress initiativesThe Financial Officer must meet the following mandatory requirements:-3+ years of relevant experience in the areas of accounting operations and monthly financial reporting; 2+ years of experience working with Large-Scale financial operations; Eligibility for reliability level security clearance; Must have experience in professional reporting tools (Sage50, Quickbooks, etc).
